چکیده

The objective of this study was to investigate the feeding value sheepgrass, including its chemical composition, dry matter intake, nutrient digestibility, and available energy, as well prediction equations intake (DMI), neutral detergent fiber digestibility (NDFD), (DMD), digestible energy (DE), metabolizable (ME). Two independent experiments based on a completely randomized experimental design were performed evaluate value. results showed that there significant relationships between composition DMI, energy. best-fit follows: DMI (g/d·W0.75) = 121.75 + 0.06CP (%) − 0.24EE 0.10ADF 0.60NDF 0.15OM (R2 0.85, p < 0.01), DMD −1.37 0.23CP 2.96EE 0.32ADF 0.82NDF 1.27OM 0.83, NDFD 225.58 0.59CP 0.04EE 0.09ADF 2.46NDF 0.12OM 0.67, DE (MJ/kg) −5.19 0.38OM 0.26NDF 0.03ADF 0.16CP 0.91, ME 5.55 0.67DE 0.01CP 0.01ADF 0.08NDF 0.02OM 0.98, 0.01). This found sheepgrass be 11 MJ/kg, which is similar millet grass silage. NDF main component affected digestibility. Using hay replacement ratio 28.5% determine forage allowed accurate established. demonstrated strongest correlation with NDFD, OMD, DE, ME. estimated best single predictor

Digestibility, microbial protein synthesis, rumen and blood parameters in sheep fed diets containing hydroponic barley fodder

This experiment was conducted to determine the possibility of replacing part of the barley grain by hydroponic barley fodder (HBF), and evaluating its effect on digestibility, rumen parameters, microbial protein synthesis and blood parameters in sheep. Four male Kermani sheep, 18-month-old (34.7 ± 1 kg live weight) were randomly assigned to a change over 4 × 4 design and fed the experimental di...

Prediction of feed intake, digestibility and growth rate of sheep fed basal diets of maize stover supplemented with Desmodium intortum hay from dry matter degradability of the diets

The in sacco dry matter (DM) degradability of diets based on maize stover harvested at three stages of maturity and supplemented with graded levels of desmodium (Desmodium intortum cv. Greenleaf) hay were estimated from degradability of the individual feeds and their corresponding DM intake. The estimated DM degradability of the diets was used for prediction of DM intake (DMI), digestible DM in...

Dry matter intake, apparent digestibility and excretion of purine derivatives in sheep fed tropical legume hay.

Four ruminally cannulated wethers (31+/-1.3kg) were used in an experiment with a 4x4 Latin square design to estimate the DM intake, apparent digestibility, nitrogen balance, rumen ammonia and microbial protein production. The sheep had ad libitum access to either Cassia rotundifolia (Cassia), Lablab purpureus (Lablab), Macroptilium atropurpureum (Siratro) or Stylosanthes guianensis (Stylo). Dry...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Effects of fiber source on apparent digestibility and ruminal fermentation parameters in sheep fed high-concentrate diets

Sixteen rams (mean age: 13 mo; mean live weight: 40.0 ± 2.4 kg) were randomly allotted to four dietary treatments in a completely randomized design (4 rams per treatment). Diets (dry matter basis) contained 65% concentrate and 35% alfalfa hay (control diet, T1), 35% wheat straw (T2), 35% barley straw (T3) or 35% maize straw (T4). Total-tract apparent digestibility for dry matter, organic matter...
